Nyansa Futures is the flagship annual conference of the Beyond AI Initiative, bringing together policymakers, entrepreneurs, researchers, students, creatives, business leaders, civil society, and technologists from across Africa to confront one of the defining questions of our time:

How do we move from adopting AI to owning our future?

Over the past year, Beyond AI has sparked conversations on the future of work, agriculture, healthcare, education, governance, and digital sovereignty. Nyansa Futures is where those conversations come together—not simply to exchange ideas, but to build partnerships, influence policy, and inspire action.

Our theme, From Adoption to Ownership, is both a challenge and an opportunity. Ownership means more than building technology. It means shaping the policies that govern it, developing local talent, protecting our data, strengthening African innovation, and ensuring that AI reflects our languages, cultures, and aspirations.

Across two days, participants will engage in thought-provoking discussions, practical workshops, interactive demonstrations, and conversations that connect technology with public policy, business, culture, and society.
